Eramet is a multinational mining and metallurgy company. The company produces non-ferrous metals and derivatives, nickel alloys and superalloys, and high-performance special steels.
The company has its historical roots in nickel mining, and for over 100 years has maintained a large mining operation in the French overseas territory of New Caledonia (Société Le Nickel – SLN). It is also a major producer of manganese from mines in Gabon (Comilog).
Tenzing provides consulting services to Eramet aimed at improving the local recoverable resource estimation for key SLN orebodies.
Golding Contractors - Kogan Creek Mine
Golding Contractors operate the Kogan Creek Coal Mine for CS Energy. The mine supplies coal to the Kogan Creek Power Station which is a 750 megawatt coal fired power station owned by CS Energy on the Darling Downs in Queensland. The $1.2 billion plant is situated in the Surat Basin between Dalby and Chinchilla.
The mine provides approximately 2.8 million tonnes of coal annually to the power station via a 4 km long conveyor belt. Tenzing have been assisting Golding with quantifying the drill spacing required to delineate the coal resource at a sufficient level of precision to deliver product within their contracted specifications.
Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd (HPPL) is an Australian company that has a long and important association with the Pilbara and the iron ore sector. Tenzing is helping HPPL in the development of its next major iron ore project, Roy Hill 1, and its steaming coal project in Queensland by application of drill hole spacing analysis as a quantitative input to resource classification issues and optimization of drilling budgets.
